DANCE IS CRINGE (Boise)

First performed at the Treefort Music Festival, in March of 2022 - DANCE IS CRINGE, is a Performance Art/Roving Experience that pushes the boundaries of dance, collaboration, experience, and spectacle.

WHAT?

Do you feel sexy, passionate, empowered and alive when you dance? Or does the act of dancing, the thought of dancing, or even just watching someone dance make you cringe? Follow this cult of personality on a journey to a “dance utopia.” You might just drink the Kool-Aid and join the movement.

WHERE?

The performance will be housed at the LED studio in Boise's Linen District. However, attendees should not expect a static, sit-down-and-observe style performance. This ebullient program utilizes the theater as a locus of action while also employing the adjacent surroundings - side street, alleys, artist studios, even the audience themselves - as stage, prop, and participant.

HOT TIP: the movement begins at 14th and Grove St., in the alley behind the Linen Building

It will be about 50 minutes from your arrival until the end of the experience.

When and where should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive to the designated location on 14th and Grove St. 15 minutes prior to the start of the journey for "Check In."
