Dance in the City Presents Echoes in Place

Join us at the Madrid Theatre lobby on July 25, 2026 at 6:30 PM (Pacific Time) for a unique dance experience.

Echoes in Place, choreographed by storytelling choreographer Amita Batra, is a site-specific show that blends modern and contemporary dance with Indian classical styles, especially Kathak, the classical art of storytelling.

The show has two parts: an immersive portion that blurs the line between dancer and audience, and a more traditional performance—all set in the unconventional space of the theatre lobby.
