Above + Beyond Cancer is partnering with Des Moines Ballroom to offer a Ballroom dance experience for cancer survivors and a partner or friend. Individuals are also welcome! Over the course of six Mondays, participants will learn the fundamentals of social dancing that are most applicable to dancing at social events and weddings.
Dancing is an exercise that promotes physical, emotional, and social well being. When we dance with a partner we increase our emotional intelligence through physical connection and shared experience.
This is a beginner level course; no previous experience required. Casual attire and closed toed shoes encouraged.
