DePaul's School of Design Talks speaker series kicks off the 2022-23 school year with Dana Ware, Creative Director of The VOID. About the Talk
Emerging tech is blurring the lines of traditional game development, requiring the collaboration of multiple industries and integrating design, storytelling, engineering, psychology, and more. Come learn about the latest trends in at-home and location based VR, AR, AI, and the Metaverse.

About the SpeakerDana Ware is an international award-winning, Chicana director who specializes in virtual reality and augmented reality. She has an undergraduate degree from UCLA and subsequently completed a master's degree in Entertainment Arts and Engineering - Game Development as well as an MFA in Film and New Media, both from the University of Utah. In 2019, Dana became a Creative Director at The VOID where she helped to explore the future of VR storytelling and directing. Dana’s work includes a hyper-reality TV series, at-home VR experiences, LBE VR (location based experience VR), simulator rides, and AR projects. She specializes in developing innovative and magical experiences by combining virtual and physical realities into hyper-reality. Dana is an Ambassador for Women in Games - WIGJ. She also serves as a VRDC Summit Advisor for GDC - The Game Developers Conference where she helps to advance the VR/AR industry.
