Dana-Thomas House Specialty Tour, Design Concepts

Join longtime volunteer, Larry Betz, on this specialty tour, focused on Frank Lloyd Wrights design concepts. The Tour will give you new insights on the house, even if you have visted before.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Specialty Tour delves into the architect’s design principles including his “organic architecture “ philosophies and his desire to shun European styles and develop “a truly democratic American style of architecture.” Also, to develop a sense of where Wright was in his life at the time he was designing the Dana-Thomas House and how he came to get a commission in Springfield.
