Dana Sipos + Steve Brockley + Meg Iredale @ The MintA cast of friends old and new unite for a night of songs and good times. Partly the “Steve Brockley Tiny Lights Pre-Party”, partly “Meg’s back from the Woods Yay”, and part “Dana sort of tells jokes” - likely featuring Pete, Trent, David, Austin and who knows who else! We will play music, eat dinner, have some laughs, and probably wrap it all up with a family band something-or-other. This very well could be your last show before summer, so come on down and be a buddy![a][b][c]

Dana Sipios
Dana coaxes silkworms out of their cocoons and spins them into song. Described as "slightly strange and completely mesmerizing" (Gold Flake Paint UK), Sipos’ talent for earthen imagery, rich spiraling vocals, and textured instrumentation sets the stage for a deeply moving performance. A new collection of captivating songs that hold the complexity of the human experience up to the light is in pre-production.

Steve Brockley
Since cutting his teeth on the stages of Toronto and Montreal, Brockley put in time as a hired gun before releasing a record of his own originals. Now back in BC, three albums in with number four on the way, Brockley has recently leaned even harder into the traditional roots of the music he loves – resulting in an all star string band lineup featuring Trent Freeman and Patrick M’Gonigle on twin fiddles, and Peter Mynett on upright bass. Expect to hear some flatpicking, fingerpicking, harmonies, and songs good enough for other songwriters to cover.
Meg Iredale
Meg brings grit and depth to the stage with her self-titled project. Like the guitar she built on the back of her truck from salvaged yellow cedar, she is well equipped to draw a crowd close. These songs came into being in a natural way. Her boldly honest lyrics, paired with a playing style and sound that moves like water over sand, Iredale is writing from the gut, and you're going to feel it.
