Born and raised outside of Chicago, Dana McKay writes about themes of homesickness, belonging and childhood. Inspired by raw and vulnerable lyrics of artists like Jeff Buckley, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lana Del Rey, she writes and sings about what hurts. Dana's sound is influenced by 90's alternative rock, modern indie folk-rock and '70s California soft rock.
