Dam it! Beavers and Why They Are Dam Important will be held at the library on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00 am. Our presenter, Joey Sendzik, will talk to us about the historical importance of beavers and the fur trade. We will learn about beaver behavior, habitats, and the natural history of the beaver as well as beaver-human conflicts and conflict resolution. Please call the library at (518) 668-2528 to register. This program is held in partnership with the Southern Adirondack Audubon Society.
Joey Sendzik is the Trail Maintenance Chair for the Albany Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club. He enjoys hiking, trail running, swimming, and paddling in the Adirondacks. Joey has a passion for learning about wildlife and local history and sharing that passion with others!
