True Texas Project welcomes this month's speaker, Pastor Marty Reid, as he speaks to us about the Black Robe Regiment. The Black Robe Regiment is a resource and networking entity where church leaders and laypeople can network and educate themselves as to our biblical responsibility to stand up for our Lord and Savior and to protect the freedoms and liberties granted to a moral people in the divinely inspired US Constitution. The Regiment had its historical beginnings during the Revolutionary War when Pastors from across the colonies arose and lead their congregations into the battle for freedom.America was fundamentally constructed well before the War for Independence in the 1600's by people who came to these shores seeking freedom and liberty from a feudal lord/ monarch who had far overstepped his God-given authority. In the conception and birth of America, church and governance was not separate, it was vitally connected and each informed the other. Indeed, all governance of and by the people was informed by way of Scripture and the Church and its community was central to all American life at that time.

About Marty Reid:
Pastor Marty Reid is the Pastor of Trinity Family Church in Forney, TX. He is an original founder of Trinity Family Church and they will celebrate their 34th anniversary as a church in February. He is a graduate of CFNI in Dallas. He is married to Melia Reid for 40 years. He has 2 beautiful daughters and 8 grandchildren. He is a Co-Director of True Texas Project in Rockwall/Kaufman County. He is president of the Kaufman County GOP Club. His passion is to eliminate biblical illiteracy and restore the founding principles of our forefathers!
