A wife, mother, and lifelong fan of comedy, Mary Ryan believes in comforting the disturbed, disturbing the comforted, and acting a fool. Mary Ryan holds a master’s degree in creative writing with an emphasis in fiction, and she has worked in the branding, marketing, and copywriting industries for nearly a decade. She is a writer first, a comic second, and a silly goose third. Since beginning her unlikely comedy career, Mary Ryan has performed all over the South–from McComb, Mississippi, to New Orleans, Louisiana, and beyond. She has opened for New Orleans comedy legends Carrey Bee and Mark Caesar and has gone viral on Instagram for a joke she made about men, all in the span of less than a year.
