Dallas Bookstore Tour
About this Event
Attention book lovers, we have a tour that's meant just for you!
During our excursion we will visit some of the most beloved independent bookstores in Dallas. You'll have a chance to explore, learn what makes these shops special, and of course you'll get plenty of time to shop for books!
We'll also make a stop at the Erik Jonsson Central Library, the main library of the Dallas Public Library. You'll see treasures from the DPL collectioni ncluding a rare copy of Shakespeare’s First Folio from the 1600s and an original copy of the Declaration of Independence from 1776.
Along the way we'll visit unique Dallas bookshops in Preston Hollow, Deep Ellum, Downtown, to Oak Cliff and beyond!
I See Dallas Tour Company takes care of the planning, parking, and driving, so you can relax and enjoy your day chatting with other book lovers along for the tour.
Several bookstores on the route offer coffee and baked goods if you need a snack (books, food and beverage purchases are up to you). Feel free to bring a small cooler with snacks and beverages too.
There is a step getting in and out of the van, please where comfortable shoes. We will always provide help geeting in and out of the van.
Our tour departs from and returns to Bird's Books.
