For over 40 years the Dallas Black Dance Theatre has mesmerized audiences with spell-bounding performances that keep audiences coming back for more. Their repertoire combines classical and contemporary modern works by Alvin Ailey, Elisa Monte, Milton Myers, Asadata Dafora, Dianne McIntyre, Matthew Rushing, Christopher L. Huggins, Ben Stephenson, Twyla Tharp, and others. The company is a diverse multiethnic troupe of well-trained, exciting, and skillful dancers.Don’t miss their 4-day, jam-packed residency at the Publick Playhouse, April 18-21, 2024. Weekend performances for all ages on Fri. and Sat., Apr. 19 and 20 at 8pm and Sun., Apr. 21 at 4 pm. Tickets are $35/general admission and $30/seniors & students.
(Platinum performances for Seniors, 60 & Better on Thu. and Fri., Apr. 18 and 19 at 11 am. Tickets are $15.)
