Austin singer-songwriters Daisy O'Connor and Jenny Carson join forces to celebrate the release of new music with an intimate show at Soundspace at Captain Quacks.
Daisy O’Connor is an Austin-based songwriter who released her debut album on this very stage in 2014. After a 6 year hiatus from live performance, Daisy returns to Soundspace to celebrate the release of new music. While her studio and band sound continues to transform from solo singer-songwriter to full band folk-rock, this performance will feature a stripped-down acoustic performance, harkening back to her roots in the Austin folk scene.
Jenny Carson is a well known vocalist and songwriter in the Austin music scene who is releasing a collection of original songs this fall. Raised by her grandparents in Groves, Texas, near the Beaumont–Port Arthur area, Carson’s journey has been shaped by a lot of trial and error, love, and encouragement from friends. Jenny's songs rummage through the past, and she derives much of her inspiration from doo-wop era harmonies, classic film scores, and traditional hymns.
