🎺 THE DAINTY PARADE
We’ll kick things off at Monnik Beer Co with music from Hot Sauce Brass Band, then parade through Schnitzelburg behind our Master of Ceremonies and last year's Dainty Champ, Mr. Jeffery Bent.
Join us to march through the streets to the MerryWeather, or line the route and cheer us on. (Parade route will be published soon.)

🎪 THE PRE-GAME CARNIVAL
At 5:00 PM, Hickory Street transforms into the Dainty Festival grounds with handcrafted carnival games, the Dainty Batting Cage, the Schnitzelburg Cake Wheel, merch booths, food, drinks, contests, and more.

🤼 OHIO VALLEY WRESTLING
From 6:00-8:00 PM, Ohio Valley Wrestling takes over Hickory Street with a live wrestling show right in the middle of the festival.
And yes, there is a risk of bologna splatter.

🥒 PICKLE JUICE CHUGGING COMPETITION, presented by Pop's Petter Patch
At 7:00 PM, brave competitors will step up to see who can throw back the brine the fastest and be crowned the Pickle Champ in the Pop’s Pepper Patch Pickle Juice Chugging Competition.
*This event is BYOT (bring your own Tums)

🥪 BOLOGNA SANDWICH EATING CONTEST, Presented by Ale 8
At 7:15 PM, the bologna takes center stage.
Competitors will face off in the Ale 8 Bologna Sandwich Eating Contest, a tribute to Schnitzelburg’s official Dainty meal.
Come hungry, come loud, and come ready to witness greatness being sliced in the streets of Schnitzelburg.

About the Dainty:
Founded by George Hauck in 1971, the World Championship Dainty Contest has brought generations together on the same old street corner in Schnitzelburg. Today, the volunteer-led Dainty Preservation Society is working to preserve the game, the stories, and the neighborhood spirit that make Dainty so special.
Bring your friends, bring your family, and come be part of the tradition.
Then come back Monday, July 27 for the 56th Annual World Championship Dainty Contest on George Hauck Way, where players 45 and older will compete for Dainty glory and our 2026 champion will be crowned - and the loser will be given a basket of lemons.
