A friendly artist critique, exclusively for DAG Members
About this Event

Join other DAG artist members with one piece of your artwork in any medium/style that you're currently working on to gather feedback, support and suggestions.

Each artist will have an equal amount of time to receive feedback.

Critique Topic: Directionally, where do you see your work in your current practice and what do you want to accomplish with it in 2026?

  • Bring 2 current works completed and or works in progress within the last 12 months
  • 3D artists must bring the actual works - no pictures

September Moderator - David Davenport

David Davenport received a BFA from East Carolina University and started his

professional career as an Art Director in advertising, eventually making his way to

work in NYC. During this time, he attended the Art Student League and the Studio

School of New York (in Paris) and rekindled his desire for painting. David

received a Teaching Fellowship from the Department of Fine Arts at University of

Maryland and graduated with a MFA in painting. He has received numerous art

awards and fellowships including the Skowhegan School of Painting Scholarship

Award and the Yaddo Fellowship in Painting. More recently, David has attended

several art residencies, including Vermont Studio Center and the Plein Air

Invitational in the Adirondacks. His work is in private and corporate collections

and has been exhibited at the NCMA, SECCA, Weatherspoon, CAM Raleigh and

the Baltimore Museum of Art. David is a full-time painter and maintains a studio

in Durham, NC.
