Trip 22: Daedelus, Salami Rose Joe Louis & Pablo Dodero inside a 100-year-old grain silo listening room in San Diego.
About this Event

The next transformation begins.

Trip 22 brings together three artists whose work moves fluidly between electronic music, psychedelic soul, improvisation, and experimental composition. Each approaches sound from a different angle, but all three share a willingness to stretch form, blur genre, and let atmosphere become part of the performance.

Built within a 100+ year-old former bread factory in Logan Heights, The Silo Room is centered around four towering empty steel grain silos whose natural resonance shapes every performance. The space has become known for intimate listening experiences, adventurous programming, and nights that feel as much like an installation as a concert. With only 100 guests admitted to each Trip, every performance remains close, intentional, and unique to the room.

Leading the evening is Daedelus, the Los Angeles electronic artist, producer, and longtime innovator whose work has spent decades dissolving the boundaries between beat music, jazz, sample-based composition, and live experimentation. Known for treating performance as a constantly evolving process, Daedelus is an especially natural match for the unpredictable resonance of The Silo Room.

Joining the evening is Salami Rose Joe Louis, whose singular blend of psychedelic soul, jazz, electronic music, and surreal songwriting creates a world entirely its own. Her music is intimate, strange, melodic, and deeply imaginative, an ideal bridge between song and abstraction.

Opening the night is Pablo Dodero, setting the atmosphere with a hybrid set playing rare Mexican ambient music, and then blending it into a performance designed to ease the room into the evening and establish the sonic landscape for what follows.

Whether you're discovering these artists for the first time or have followed their work for years, Trip 22 promises another one-night-only experience inside San Diego's most unusual listening space.

Salami Rose Joe Louis aka Lindsay Olsen is a genre traveler multi-instrumentalist female producer and a signee to Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label. She produces and records pretty much exclusively on her beloved Roland MV8800. Her debut record with Brainfeeder in 2019, “Zdenka 2080”, is a critically acclaimed, conceptual sci-fi epic that earned an Album of the Year nomination at Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards. Since then, she has toured the world supporting genre-bending luminaries Flying Lotus, The Cinematic Orchestra, Toro y Moi, TuneYards, Clairo, and MNDSGN. Her 2023 album “Akousmatikous” is a follow-up sci-fi odyssey to “Zdenka 2080” that blends emotional intensity with sonic experimentation. Her storytelling attempts to confront and explore a range of subjects such as climate change, the power of imagery, propaganda, depression, societal greed, isolation, and the trappings of societal conditioning. Recent collaborations include a feature on Toro y Moi's “Mahal”, a remix for Hiatus Kaiyote, 2024 collab album extravaganza “Sarah” with legendary Philadelphian – Flanafi, and production for a track on MIKE’s 2025 album “Showbiz!”. 2024 also yielded a spellbinding live EP – “Salami Live at 2131 North Kacey Street” – reinterpreting some of her classic songs with a dynamic quartet, capturing the energetic intensity and improvisational magic of their joined sounds together. With her innovative production style and captivating live shows, Salami Rose Joe Louis continues to push the boundaries of alternative/electronic/jazz music.
