DADA MERZ BALL - 22nd JULY 7.30pm - 11.30pm with daytime walk around sites of artist Kurt Schwitters in Ambleside 12 noon to 5pm2nd annual "Dada Merz Ball" at St Mary's Parish Centre (Ambleside) LA22 9DH, this year marking the 75th anniversary of the death of Kurt Schwitters.

Schwitters loved to dance and your host Anthony D Padgett, who is an artist and dance teacher, will be teaching a short Jumble Dance lesson - explaining how to mix 8 count salsa, swing, lindy, cha cha and charleston. He will also teach a short Parisian Tango lesson.
Padgett is looking for anyone interested in making a short presentation or a Merz / Dada art or poetry performance. There will also be a day of activities in Ambleside - program to be confirmed.
These will include a walk to Schwitters' homes, the Armitt Museum (which holds original Schwitters works and Padgett's bust of Schwitters), Schwitters' gravestone and a couple of his favourite pubs.
