About this Event

Dad + Me Overnight Camping at Rick’s Place is for fathers and their kids who’re looking for adventure outdoors. We provide the space, food, and games, and you bring the camping equipment!

Camp outdoors overnight at Rick’s Place with dinner and breakfast provided. Registered participants receive a weekend of organized camping alongside other Military Families at Rick’s Place.

When: July 25-26

Location: 5572 Shenandoah Drive, Fayetteville, NC, 28304

This program creates a weekend filled with fun and adventure to connect families. Group activities will have families working as a team in competition and collaboration with other families.

Children must be 4 years old or older to participate in this program. There is no max age cap for children, but the suggested age is 7-14 years old. There is no limit to the number of children permitted to accompany an adult during this program. Seasoned camping vets and first-time campers are all welcome!

During this program, an RHF staff member will be present to orchestrate games and food, but the legal guardian is responsible for the well-being of the children they bring.

This program is free of charge to service members and their families. Registration opens for each session 2 weeks before that session’s start date.

This program focuses on fostering relationships between kids and their male caregivers. For this program, adults must be the father or father figures of the child(ren) they register. If the adult accompanying the child(ren) is not the legal guardian of the child(ren), then RHF must have written permission from the legal guardian before the start of the program. If there are any questions about this, please contact [email protected]

You will be asked for proof of Military Affiliation at check-in for this program. Have your Military ID available. If you have any questions about what qualifies as proof of affiliation, please reach out to the team at Rick’s Place.

Each family is required to register for this program, with only 1 ticket needed per family. The start and end times are prompt. Parents need to stay with their children for the duration of the program.
