Dad Manners is a tribute to one of the biggest 2Tone bands to come out of the early 1980’s, Bad Manners, which had a number of hits such as "Nee Nee Na Na Na Na Nu Nu", "My Girl Lollipop", "Lip Up Fatty", "Can Can", "Special Brew", "Walking in the Sunshine" and "That'll Do Nicely".
Dad Manners formed in 2021 as an 8-piece band that includes ex full-time members of Bad Manners, who used to tour and record with the band. The band is fronted by Alan Driver, who is a charismatic figure on stage, backed up by strong vocals. Alan has had many years experienced singing with a number of ska covers bands.
Everyone in the band is a committed fan of ska; given this and our line-up, we believe (and have been told by fans) that the Dad Manners sound is about as close as you could get to the original, high intensity sound of 2 Tone ska.
The band is based in the South of England, but will travel all over the UK and Europe (2023 saw their European debut in Holland as part of a 2 Tone tour).
