DACRE COTTAGE TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS LUNCH
15th November 2026
Arrive 11.30pm for lunch at 12 noon
A three-course meal in the coastal gardens of the beautiful Dacre Cottage.
It is just the way to start the Christmas season off with friends and family and support the ongoing protection and management of such a lovely place.
How to get there:
The easiest way is on foot, just walk in from the carpark at Ara Weiti Road off East Coast Road.
A pretty but rough bush walk that takes fifteen to 20 minutes.
Kayaking or boating in is a fun way. Just anchor off the beach, the high tide is at 12.12pm and 2.8mt. When you’re pulling your kayak onto the beach, please stay as far away from the roped-off areas as we have rare sea birds nesting there.
Cost: $25 per person, (primary school children $12, under-fives are free)
All funds go to help the Dacre Cottage Committee upkeep the Cottage, buildings, and grounds along with supporting the growing new Karepiro Beach Forest.
The committee also supports the ongoing protection of the area and the waters of the Long Bay Okura Marine Reserve and its catchments.
Bookings are limited to 200
There will be no bookings accepted after 12th November, so please book early to avoid missing out.
A booking is not confirmed until payment is received in full.
