About this Event

The 2022 DAC Conference will follow a familiar pattern that combines an afternoon together for presentations and discussion with visits to churches to see and hear on site about matters relevant to the work of a DAC in its care and advice for churches.

Day 1 (Tuesday) will be based in St Nicholas Church, central Bristol and include the annual meeting, an opportunity to hear from the new Director of Church and Cathedral Buildings, national updates and time for discussion. After checking into our hotels the day will conclude with an informal dinner.

Day 2 (Wednesday) Will be based around a walking tour of Bristol churches and talks will focus on the environment, accessibility and social action. At the end of the afternoon there will be an opportunity to attend Evensong at Bristol Cathedral. The traditional formal dinner will be at Mshed. Mshed is a museum on Bristol’s harbourside and showcases Bristol life. One of the galleries “Bristol places” will be open to explore prior to dinner.

Day 3 (Thursday) Will focus on contested heritage, and we will be based in St Mary Redcliffe for the morning, before we draw to a close around noon.
