About this Event
Event Overview
When systems fail to serve the communities they impact most, where do we go from there?
THE SYSTEM DON’T WORK is a community forum convened by DA SPOT NYC to examine the structural gaps shaping housing, policing, media, economic access, and cultural power. This evening brings together leaders, creatives, and reform advocates who have worked within systems, challenged them, and built alternatives rooted in accountability and equity.
This is an intentional dialogue about how systems are designed, who they protect, and what meaningful reform requires.
Through moderated discussion and audience engagement, we will explore:
• Where institutional breakdown is most visible
• How culture influences policy and public perception
• The role of entrepreneurship and community investment
• What actionable solutions look like beyond rhetoric
Following the panel, guests are invited to stay for continued dialogue and networking in an atmosphere curated with live music by Victorious De Costa. Light refreshments will be provided.
DA SPOT NYC has always served as a space for creativity, economic opportunity, and community building. This forum continues that tradition by creating space not only to critique systems, but to imagine and build differently.
