Join Da Krewe Du Roux for our 10th Annual Courir de Mardi Gras Chicken Run 🐔🎭
Run, dance, or stroll with us as we celebrate Mardi Gras, Krewe-style, and raise funds for local charities El Mina Shriners and Ronald McDonald House of Galveston.
Our 10th Anniversary event will be held at Mem1 Church in Texas City. Enjoy our 10 year milestone at this fun, unique event with the whole family! We will be serving free gumbo, enjoying live music by Kevin Anthony, bounce houses & face painting for the kids, a hayride, and you’ll get to learn about this old rural Louisiana Mardi Gras tradition. ⚜️
🐔 And YES, you’ll have the chance to chase a real live chicken! If you’re fast enough to catch one, you’ll even get a coveted golden chicken trophy to show off! These Chicken Runs are broken down by age group to ensure safety and inclusion for all ages. ❤️ 🐓
Your registration keeps the tradition going
Every entry helps us create a fun, inclusive event where neighbors come together, laugh a lot, and support families in our community. There is no cost to register, we just ask that you do so to help us plan. We will accept donations at the event along with hosting a silent auction in an effort to raise funds for our charities.
Feel free to dress in a traditional chicken run fringed costume to add to the fun, or any Mardi Gras flare!
We are also seeking sponsors! Please contact [email protected] to support this unique event.
