They’re back! Còig, the Celtic acoustic powerhouse from Cape Breton Island, returns for another beautiful holiday show, which Lane Series audiences have come to adore as a way to welcome in the season. With a fiery style at its core, Còig easily shifts from the repertoire of past generations to original and upbeat compositions, featuring the band’s use of over a dozen instruments. With driving tunes, haunting songs, and infectious energy, Còig is an unparalleled musical force. Fronted by Darren McMullen and Rachel Davis, the band also includes the amazing Québécois guitarist/bouzouki player Thierry Clouette and iconic Cape Breton fiddler Margie Beaton.
