About this Event
Our South Cypress Park walking tour is back. Premiering in 2019, it takes a deep dive into the community below Mount Washington many call "The Flats."
Hear how transportation, agriculture, and water shaped the area, and see traces of those influences today. Discover where Yum Yum Donuts had its first store and where Annette Charles (ChaCha DiGregorio in "Grease) spent the early years of her childhood. Enjoy a nearly intact street of early 20th century homes. Plus much much more. Local resident and HPHT board member Anthea Raymond is your guide.
All proceeds will benefit the Highland Park Heritage Trust and its youth programs. Tour is offered May 22 and October 23 of 2022 to meet demand.
