Tickets on sale now for the "What You See on the Land, Lands in the Sea" Speakers Series sponsored by Friends of Lovers Key. Cynthia Barnett launches the series on Nov. 5 with an introduction to her new book, "The Sound of the Sea: Seashells and the Fate of the Oceans". Cynthia is a professor of environmental journalism at the University of Florida, Gainesville. She is author of Blue Revolution and Rain: A Natural and Cultural History, which was nominated for the National Book Award.
The series will be held in the Community Room of the Welcome and Discovery Center form 6:30-8:00pm. Doors open at 5:30pm. Come early for a visit to the new Welcome and Discovery Center at Lovers Key State Park. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $30 per ticket and must be purchased in advance.
