Cymru 2073: Book Making Workshop and Launch Event

Our friend, activist and academic Joey Whitfield has been working with a group of young Cardiff-based writers to collaborate on a political science-fiction project imagining a new history of the future of Cymru.

We are excited to share on his behalf that the launch event for this new writing will take place at The Canopi on June 7th 11am - 3:30pm, coupled with a practical book making workshop.

A message from Joey:
"Join us to for a day of readings, discussions and crafting artisanal books using the Latin American cartonera technique.

Come for the whole event or just drop by for as much as you can. Expect to sew and paint book covers, listen and chat about future Wales."

You can expect:

• one free hot/soft drink
• readings throughout the day of the new work
• buffet provided by the Canopi staff at 1pm
• a Q&A session with the authors at 2:30pm onwards

The writers have been engaged in an 8 week process of workshops, inspired by Welsh and international science fiction. We at Pwnc Llosg can't wait to hear what they've created!
