About this Event
Cycling Through Change
Opening Reception: Friday, April 4, 2025 | Atlas Gallery
On view through May 2
Cycling Through Change is a curated group exhibition exploring the symbolic, structural, historic, and transformative impact of the bicycle.
As a vehicle, subculture, and manifestation of personal autonomy, bikes open pathways for exploration and resistance. It’s a tool of movement and meaning—connected to broader issues of transportation access, sustainability, and urban design. Cycling Through Change asks you to consider: what do bikes carry, where do they take us, and what do they make possible?
The exhibition features work by 21 artists in sculpture, painting, collage, photography, video, fiber, and literary forms—each cycling through their own interpretations of the bike’s role in our lives and communities.
