Thanks to funding from Active Travel England, via the Liverpool City Region, this summer, we are partnering with HYPE Urban Bikes to deliver a programme of community cycling activities for adults, helping more people become active, confident and connected through cycling.
The goal is to encourage people to ditch their cars in favour of bikes, wherever possible/practical, getting fit and reducing traffic and pollution in the process!
The programme will provide:
> FREE bike health checks to ensure your bicycles are safe and roadworthy*
> FREE practical guidance on cycling safely within local communities*
> FREE bike maintenance workshops, where participants can learn essential skills such as checking brakes, maintaining tyres, cleaning drivetrains and carrying out basic repairs, helping you keep their bikes safe and roadworthy at home*
> FREE confidence-building training in the safety of the LCFA car park*
No bike? No problem!
> FREE bike hire (subject to availability - Max 8 bikes, for 2 hours max)**
> FREE bike rides on Rimrose Valley**
*DROP-IN NO NEED TO BOOK
**REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL VIA THE LINK IN THIS EVENT. AFTER REGISTERING, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM HYPE ASKING FOR INFORMATION ON DATES YOU WISH TO ATTEND AND YOUR ABILITY
Sessions will run every Tuesday from 21st July through to 25th August, based at LCFA Sefton's Drummond Road site, with organised rides taking place across Rimrose.
We look forward to working together and engaging local residents and families in a summer of cycling activity!
