Nicola Anderson, CEO, at Fintech Scotland

Nicola Anderson is the CEO of FinTech Scotland, a strategic cluster management organisation that works across the private, public and third sectors, as well as academia to enable economic growth and inclusion in developing digital financial services.

Nicola is a member of the Scottish Government’s Financial Services Growth and Development Board, a body chaired by Scotland’s First Minister to provide strategic leadership for the financial services sector in Scotland. She is also a member of the Taskforce for Green and Sustainable Finance, an industry led body established to support Scottish Government’s contribution towards the global shift to net zero.


Dave Harvey, Head of Cybersecurity UK, at FTI Consulting

Dave Harvey has over 20 years of global cybersecurity experience, specifically in countering advanced threat actors, developing cybersecurity resilience and responding to critical incidents.

Dave leads FTI Consulting’s UK Cybersecurity practice, overseeing client engagements across a broad spectrum of industries and regional markets. He has extensive expertise providing independent board-level advisory and assurance, cybersecurity resilience and response engagements, in addition to guidance on post-breach complex investigations and in support of class-action lawsuits.


William (Bill) Buchanan OBE, Professor, School of Computing, at Edinburgh Napier University

Bill currently leads the Blockpass ID Lab and the Centre for Cybersecurity and Cryptography. He works in the areas of blockchain, cryptography, trust and digital identity. He has one of the most extensive cryptography sites in the World (asecuritysite.com), and is involved in many areas of novel research and teaching. He has published over 30 academic books, and over 350 academic research papers.

Bill is a Fellow of the BCS and Principal Fellow of the HEA. He regularly appears on TV and radio programmes related to computer security. Bill was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to cybersecurity.


Sonia Cheng, Senior Managing Director (Partner), at FTI Consulting

Sonia leads FTI Consulting’s Information Governance Privacy and Security practice across the EMEA region. She is a trusted advisor to some of the world’s largest financial services, insurance, pharmaceutical and energy firms. Sonia possesses unique insights on the intersection across the diverse disciplines of legacy data, records management, privacy, e-discovery, compliance, risk, and digital transformation programmes.

Sonia’s diverse, hands-on experience enables her to lead a broad range of data related programmes. Her domain expertise and diversity of experience results in a unique and effective approach towards gaining executive approval and enabling sustained IG transformation. Having worked on highly complex matters, Sonia and the team are prepared for any challenge a client may present, enabling her clients to take pragmatic steps towards strategic IG success.


Jamie Graves, CEO, at Uleska

Jamie is a cyber security expert and entrepreneur. He founded and successfully scaled ZoneFox, an award-winning product providing customers with visibility into malicious behaviour to help protect business critical data. In October of 2018 ZoneFox was acquired by US-based Fortinet Inc. He is currently a NxD at Lupovis, and the CEO of Uleska which helps security and engineering teams scale their application security capabilities.


Ciara Mitchell, Head of Cyber / Cluster Manager, at ScotlandIS

Ciara is the cluster manager for Scotland’s cyber cluster. Her role involves supporting the development, growth and promotion of the cyber security sector in Scotland, bringing the cyber community together across academia, public sector and industry in order to enable collaboration and innovation in this sector in addition to facilitating gaps or challenges to be addressed. Ciara is a board member for UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3) which supports UK cyber clusters and a member of the UK5G Security working group. She is also a trustee for a Scottish Charity ACE IT which focuses on providing digital skills training for the elderly.



Ciara has extensive experience in the telecommunications and cyber security industry, having worked for BT for 20 years before freelancing for a cyber security start-up while completing a MBA at Heriot Watt Business School. She worked in a number of different roles while at BT ending up as Head of Global Product Management within BT’s Cyber Security Division.


Douglas Kinloch, VP Business Development, Europe and director of PACE AP Europe Ltd

Douglas manages the local company and works as part of the overall PACE Business team. A veteran of the Scottish Tech and Start-up scene, he has over a decade of experience working to market innovative Software Security as applied to Financial Services, Digital ID and IP & Content Protection.


Pavlos Papadopoulos, Technical Lead, at TrueDeploy

Pavlos is an Associate Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University. His research interests include cybersecurity, distributed ledger technology and privacy-preserving machine learning. Pavlos is the Principal Investigator behind the TrueDeploy venture, a distributed ledger technology that improves security, trust and transparency across the software supply chain.
