Cyanotype Workshop with Margo

Learn the art of the sun print with Margo Duvall, who earned her master's degree of fine arts in photography from San Jose State University. Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that harnesses the power of the sun to create cyan colored photographs- the original "blueprint." This course is hands on, experimental, and a little bit messy (in the best way). We'll use digital and film based negatives to produce one-of-a-kind alternative photos on both paper and fabric. This course is perfect for all levels... no photo experience necessary. Age 12+, please
Materials fee includes: papers, fabric, cyanotype and fixing solutions, brushes, miscellaneous printing items, and other supplies.
Items to bring:
Small translucent items, interesting flowers or plants, lace or fabric scraps, small film negatives. This process can be messy. Wear old clothes and consider bringing an apron and gloves.
