Cyanotype Workshop at Better.Space

Join us in person for a fun and creative Cyanotype Workshop at Better.Space! Dive into the world of cyanotype printing, where you'll learn how to make stunning blue-toned prints using sunlight and simple materials. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to try a cool new art technique. Bring your curiosity and leave with your own unique artwork!

This Workshop will be led by Davvon Branker, a visual artist and photographer based in Orlando. Their practice involves alternative image-making and duplicating images through the cyanotype process to add another interpretation of memory and traditions found within the Afro-Caribbean diaspora.

During this workshop, attendees have the option of printing a previous image using a transparency sheet to transfer the image onto a cyanotype print. If you'd like to have your image prepared on a transparency, please reach out to the event facilitator at least 3 days before the workshop date.

There will be items available to attendees to create their prints; however, everyone is encouraged to bring any small item (plant, flowers, etc.) to create their personalized print.
