Cyanotype w/ Cheryl Ann Boc-Chidester
In this hands-on, two-hour workshop, you will arrange objects onto paper coated with a special light-sensitive iron salt solution. Once exposed to UV light and rinsed with water, your designs will transform into stunning, deep Prussian blue and crisp white images. To take your prints a step further, Cheryl will guide you in enhancing your finished pieces with delicate watercolor washes.
Every participant will create and take home at least two unique images. The instructor will provide a variety of flat objects to work with—such as dried flowers, leaves, lace, ribbon, and seashells—but students are highly encouraged to bring their own flat or semi-flat treasures to personalize their prints!
