Learn the cyanotype process! Get outside and let the sun do the work! In this beginner-friendly class, we will learn and experiment with the cyanotype process. – the 180-year-old print-making method that uses UV light to expose images producing your very own print in a distinctive dark greenish-blue. The word cyan comes from Greek, meaning “dark blue substance.” Be as creative as you want or stick to tradition Please Bring: Design components - Leaves, ferns, flowers, etc. (Pressed and dried is easiest to work with but is not necessary) Photo negatives/transparencies, objects to silhouette, etc. Frame - Please bring a frame with glass large enough to cover your composition. The glass will be used to hold the composition in place as it exposes so that the prints come out crisp. (Optional)- Any clothes, fabrics or special papers you wish to print on.
