Cyanontypes (Sun Printing) Workshop with David Condit
About this Event
Join award-winning local artist David Condit on Saturday, October 10, 2026 for a fun and rewarding introduction to cyanotype printing (also known as sun printing), one of the oldest photographic processes. This easy-to-learn technique offers endless opportunities for creative expression and produces stunning blue-and-white images using the sun's UV light.
In this hands-on class, David will guide you through every step of the cyanotype process. You'll learn how to:
- Mix the cyanotype solutions
- Coat watercolor paper
- Expose your prints to the sun for the best results
- Develop your finished prints in water
Students are asked to bring flowers or interesting shaped objects to place on a 9" x 12" piece of watercolor paper. Artist and instructor, David Condit, will provide all other supplies, and you provide the creativity!
