About the Featured Artists:

William Goldstein

William Goldstein gives his audiences something they rarely ever experience, a virginal experience. They witness for the first time musical compositions created by this former Motown artist, now a classical crossover success, spinning out emotionally connective, deeply moving complete compositions in real time. Uniquely, he is the only artist creating collaborative compositions with dancers and other musicians, all in real time. The power of these performances has to be experienced live to be appreciated. William Goldstein has scored over 50 Movie and Television projects, including Fame and The Miracle Worker. He has been a recording artist for both Motown and CBS Masterworks. His own label is distributed worldwide by The Orchard with over 70 albums currently available averaging 6,000,000 streams monthly. He has written on the arts for The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. He has been a pioneer in the use of computers and electronic instruments in music. Since 2011 he has received international recognition for his ability to create music in real time, continuing the tradition of the great 18th and 19th century composer pianists.

Rev. Dr. Derrick McQueen

Rev. Dr. Derrick McQueen brings Everything Must Change to this concert as an invitation to listen deeply. As the song moves through its shifts in musicality, phrasing, and feeling, audiences are encouraged to hear a familiar composition in a new way. Known through unforgettable recordings by Nina Simone and George Benson, and with McQueen’s heart especially tied to the arrangement his friend George Mesterhazy created for Shirley Horn, this performance leans into the song’s changing emotional colors and the quiet revelation that transformation lives inside the music itself.

Yael Danon

Yael Danon performs songs from her debut album Evil Eye, about refusing to shrink yourself, reclaiming vulnerability as power, and the feeling of finally being done pretending. Her sound pulls from Middle Eastern, Latin, and contemporary production, shifting between raw confession and defiance.
Yael Danon is a global singer-songwriter blending Middle Eastern and Latin influences into a sound that's entirely her own. She has performed at the Sanremo Festival, opened for Sebastián Yatra and Ravyn Lenae, headlined sold-out shows across Panama and Boston, and taken the stage at Sanders Theatre and the Berklee Performance Center. She is the founder of The Mix, a 400+ member music network across Boston, and a Harvard Artist Development Fellowship recipient. Her album, Evil Eye, is debuting this summer.
