MEETING POINT is just inside the entrance. Please note that there is more than one entrance on Queens Road, the meeting point will be at the one closest to 52 Queens Road.
Discover the remarkable stories of the men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second World Wars who are buried in their community.
Over a hundred and fifty casualties from World War One and World War Two are buried at Hartshill, many of whom died whilst being treated for their injuries at the nearby Stoke War Hospital.
Amongst the many graves are two brothers from New Zealand who both served and died in the RAF, two members of the African Pioneer Corps buried thousands of miles from home and one member of the Cyprus Regiment. We also commemorate two women who served in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force.
The tour lasts approx 60 mins and covers about 1200 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground.
Parking is available nearby. There are no facilities or toilets on site. Please bring water if required.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Only assistance dogs are allowed in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
