About this Event

Join the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for a free tour of East Kilbride Cemetery, led by one of our experienced volunteer tour guides.

MEETING POINT inside entrance gate on Mavor Avenue.

With plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion, you will learn about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and hear the remarkable stories of some of those who died in the two wars and are buried in the cemetery.

The tour lasts approx. 75 minutes and covers about 600 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground.

Limited parking is available. There are no facilties or toilets on site. Please bring water if required.

Please come dressed for the weather and in suitable footwear.

Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the cemetery.

Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
