A proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and father of three Marines, Brandon took a stand to protect his fellow veterans—and changed the system from within.

In 2014, while working as a counselor at the Phoenix VA Medical Center, Brandon blew the whistle on the hospital’s failure to properly monitor suicidal veterans in the ER. For telling the truth, he was retaliated against and placed on administrative leave for 586 days.

But like any Marine—he didn’t back down.

In 2015, Brandon testified before Congress, helping pass the VA Accountability Act and the Dr. Chris Kirkpatrick Whistleblower Protection Act.
He went on to train over 400,000 VA employees nationwide, ensuring no other veteran’s voice would be ignored.

Now retired and living in Pittsburgh, Brandon continues to champion veteran healthcare reform and accountability at the VA—fighting for the men and women who served.
