Ready to rip, snip, and stick your way into something fun and unexpected? Cut & Create is a no-pressure, hands-on collage workshop designed for adults who want to explore their creative side. Whether you're drawn to bold colors, vintage vibes, or abstract expression, collage is a playful and accessible way to unwind and make something uniquely yours. Start from scratch or bring a work-in-progress. Come solo or bring a friend—everyone leaves with a creation and good vibes.
Collage is more than cutting and pasting—it's a gateway to visual storytelling, intuitive design, and artistic self-expression. You'll learn how to:
- See creatively by combining everyday images in new, surprising ways
- Experiment freely without fear of making mistakes—collage invites happy accidents
- Develop your eye for color, composition, and visual balance
- Use found materials to make art sustainably and spontaneously
These skills can spark future projects in journaling, mixed media, vision boarding, and even home décor. Whether you continue on a creative path or simply enjoy the moment, you'll walk away with a deeper sense of play, possibility, and artistic confidence.
About your instructor:
Deana (pronounced Dee-na) Brown brings a rich background in creative education, with experience as a fused glass instructor, makerspace administrator, and art grant maker. She holds a B.A. in photography, a master’s in library science, and a graduate certificate in instructional design. Her passion for accessible, hands-on art education is grounded in her own creative journey, which spans photography, collage, ceramics, and fiber arts.
