Curve Embroidery - 'Mid Century Modern' on Paper

Join exhibiting artist Jane Gibson and learn step by step techniques to create beautiful, curved patterns from simple geometric shapes and straight stitches. During the workshop you will hand stitch onto watercolour paper using metallic threads to create stunning designs. These designs are suitable for framing and displaying at home or giving as gifts.

In this session you will learn how to create a pattern using a template, prepare your paper for stitching and learn to sew a simple curve using only straight lines. You can then choose a design to create a more complicated layered pattern. You will take away a hand stitched curved design that is personal to you along with ideas to spark your creative imagination.

This workshop is suitable for beginners.
