In this eye-opening session, using a playlist of leading performing artists, Benjamin Rubin shows how popular music in Israel both reflects and affects changes in Israeli society. BENJAMIN RUBIN is a Toronto lawyer. Under his pen name, eBenBrandeis, he composes poetry, lyrics and YouTube video poems. He has edited a book of contemporary Jewish humour, translated a Hebrew autobiography of life in pre-war Pinsk, Poland, and was creator of NewHouseOfIsrael.net, an online Zionist conceptual art project.
