About this Event
What to expect
The annual Current Research in Speculative Fiction conference returns for its 16th year with Keynote addresses from Professor Isiah Lavender III and Arthur C Clarke Award 2026 nominee E. J. Swift.
CRSF is hosted at the University of Liverpool and welcomes in-person and online attendees.
This two-day event is an academic conference that focuses on supporting Early Career Researchers and students in presenting academic research in areas including literary studies, creative writing, media studies, game studies, philosophy, art, anthropology, sociology and political theory.
The theme this year is Systems and Entanglements.
Tickets are available to attend the two-day conference in person and online, free of charge. For those attending in person there will be light refreshments provided, as well as the option to attend some in-person only events, including workshops, a visit to the Archive, evening drinks, the Open Mic night and the Conference Dinner.
Tickets to view the conference across multiple virtual rooms in parallel sessions on Teams are available, and online attendees will also be able to watch our Roundtables and Keynotes live.
