Centrum současného umění DOX uvede mimořádný dvojkoncert legendárního projektu Current 93, který se uskuteční u příležitosti samostatné výstavy Davida Tibeta Hallucinate, Children. Výstava představí Tibetovu vizuální tvorbu jako jedinečný svět vizí, textů, obrazů, symbolů a duchovní imaginace; koncerty Current 93 tento svět rozšíří do podoby intenzivní hudební události.
Oba koncerty proběhnou ve stejný den, přesto však budou koncipovány jako dvě odlišné koncertní zkušenosti. Nepůjde o opakování téhož programu, ale o dvě samostatné podoby setkání s jedním z nejvýraznějších a nejosobitějších hlasů současné experimentální hudby. Current 93, vedení Davidem Tibetem, již po desetiletí vytvářejí osobitý prostor na pomezí apokalyptického folku, poezie, mystiky, snu a zvukového rituálu. V rámci jednoho večera se propojí galerijní prostor, koncertní performance a osobní mytologie jednoho z nejradikálnějších vizionářů současné kultury.

Current 93 at DOX: Two Unique Concerts in a Single Day. ★ A rare opportunity to experience David Tibet’s work in its full breadth – as image, word, voice, and music.
The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art will present an extraordinary double concert by the legendary project Current 93, held on the occasion of David Tibet’s solo exhibition Hallucinate, Children. The exhibition introduces Tibet’s visual work as a singular world of visions, texts, images, symbols, and spiritual imagination; the concerts by Current 93 will extend this world into the form of an intense musical event.
Both concerts will take place on the same day, yet they will be conceived as two distinct musical experiences. Rather than a repetition of the same programme, they will offer two autonomous encounters with one of the most distinctive and singular voices in contemporary experimental music. Led by David Tibet, Current 93 has for decades created a unique space at the intersection of apocalyptic nursery–rhymes, poetry, mysticism, dreams, and sonic playgrounds. Over the course of a single evening, the gallery space, a concert performance, and the personal mythology of one of the most idiosyncratic visionaries in contemporary culture will come together.
