On Saturday 13th June, members of Heritage Malta are warmly invited to an exclusive curatorial tour exploring British Malta’s artistic and cultural story at MUŻA – The National Community Art Museum in Valletta.
Two guided sessions are on offer: the first in Maltese from 10:30am to 11:30am:
and the second in English from 12:00pm to 1:00pm:
Between the two, from 11:30am to 12:00pm, all participants can enjoy a relaxing coffee break together.
Participants will be guided through the 19th- and early 20th-century galleries. The journey begins with a key development that transformed Malta’s art scene, and moves through works shaped by shifting systems of patronage. Along the way, visitors will encounter Neoclassical elegance, the Romantic pursuit of beauty, and the Realist eye of artists responding to a politically evolving island – rooted in tradition, yet increasingly shaped by the wider world brought closer through the British Empire.
This special event is open exclusively to Heritage Malta members. Tickets are available online at: www.heritagemalta.mt/store, as well as from all Heritage Malta museums and sites.
