About this Event

What you'll do

Join Adam Rose, curator of 'Tenderness and Rage', to learn more about the stories of care and protest on display and the histories behind them.

Adam will explore the UK AIDS epidemic of the 1980s and 1990s alongside contemporary global perspectives on HIV, highlighting the vital role played by activists past and present.

Adam is an independent curator whose practice centres on lived experiences of health, accessibility and social justice. He curated ‘Tenderness and Rage’ and worked on exhibitions including ‘Zines Forever! DIY Publishing and Disability Justice’, ‘In Plain Sight’, ‘The Cult of Beauty’ and ‘Thirst: In Search of Freshwater’ at Wellcome Collection. He has also developed accessible exhibition experiences across audio description, BSL, multi-sensory commissions and wayfinding.
