About this Event
Visit the Henry for a tour of led by Em Chan, Curatorial Assistant. Learn more about Faught’s multi-media works, which combine weaving, found objects, and ephemera to explore craft traditions, queer culture, and personal history. Chan will lead a guided tour of the exhibition, highlighting Sanctuary (2017), a monumental woven tapestry featuring a rich array of found and archival materials, and Faught’s more recent basket and sweater works.

Curator Bio
Em Chan is Curatorial Assistant at the Henry Art Gallery, where he has helped to organize multiple exhibitions, including Christine Sun Kim: Ghost(ed) Notes (2024), Lucy Kim: Mutant Optics (2024), A.K. Burns: What is Perverse is Liquid (2024), Recent Acquisitions in the Henry Collection (2024), and Josh Faught: Sanctuary (2025). He has also organized their own collections presentation, Overexposures: Photographs from the Henry Collection (2024). Em is a graduate of the University of Washington in Art History and English Literature, where he served as a student Henry Art Liaison for 3 years. Outside of the Henry, Em has worked in a variety of different local arts facilitation settings, including special collections, theaters, film festivals, and classrooms.
