About this Event

Join curator Emma Stein for a walk-through of a gallery exploring divine bronze sculptures that were made a millennium ago for processions. Heavy as these solid-cast figures are, they were designed to be carried outside of temples in southern India for all to behold. Look closely to see how loops and holes provided spaces for poles and ropes to attach the sculptures to their transports. These bronzes are part of the exhibition .

Please meet at gallery 1 for the tour. We recommend you register in advance.
