Join curator, writer and researcher Megan Tamati-Quennell (Te Ātiawa, Kāti Māmoe, Ngāi Tahu) as she discusses the work of artist Ana Iti (Te Rarawa, Ngāi Tūpoto, Ngāti Here, Pākehā).
Megan will discuss a number of projects by Ana Iti that she has engaged with, beginning with 'The woman whose back was a whetstone', commissioned for Swallowing Geography at Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in 2021, Only Fools are Lonely' (2018, Te Papa Tongarewa), A hybrid made of both' (2025, created for the Sharjah Biennial 16: to carry) as well as Iti’s 2024 Walters Prize winning work 'A resilient heart like the mānawa'.
