Join Lisa Shockley, Curator of Collections at the Kansas City Museum for a conversation centered around artist Ferdinando Vichi, and “Meditation,” one of the statues originally purchased by Robert A. Long for Corinthian Hall. Sold at auction by the Long family in 1934, the statue was donated to the Kansas City Museum in 2019.
Curator Conversation is a free program offered at the Kansas City Museum on the last Sunday afternoon of the month. It is an informal conversation led by curator Lisa Shockley, beginning with historical background information offered about a particular artifact, followed by an invitation for attendees to ask questions or contribute their own personal insights or reflections.
